BAD NEWS... due to the driver and bus shortage we will not be taking JV to Butte. Believe me when I say that the ramifications of this are well understood and Mark Wahl is trying everything to come up with alternatives. (Parents driving athletes to Butte to compete is NOT an option but we are trying to make a JV meet happen closer to home.) For what it's worth, JV football competitions were also cancelled so it isn't just XC taking the brunt. We are going to continue business as usual this week with practice and keep working hard towards our goals of improvement -- at all levels, every week, no exceptions.
So... travel team for Butte ended up being decided this way: Top 7 based on race time in Great Falls will run Varsity. Carsen and Kendra will be the 8th runners who will serve as alternates and run in the JV race (based on their performances as our 7th Varsity in GF and the impacts having to run alone had on their times.)
GOOD NEWS... we had lots of impressive results in Great Falls, the team photos link has some great shots from D. Madrill and C. Aragon, our team was well represented at the Glow Run and the MT Marathon, and we have a team dinner this week :)
